A Carson City man jailed Tuesday for allegedly having sex with a 12-year-old girl was booked on suspicion of felony sexual assault, felony lewdness with a minor and gross misdemeanor statutory sexual seduction.

Based on an interview Tuesday with an investigator, a story which ran in today's Nevada Appeal stated William Storrs was arrested on lesser charges.

Storrs, 19, is being held in the Carson City Jail on $100,000 bail.

According to Detective Bob Motamenpour Storrs was a neighbor of the 12-year-old girl and her 16-year-old sister.

"They would sneak out of the house and go party with this guy and his buddies drinking and smoking and joking," said Motamenpour.

He said Storrs allegedly had sex with the 12-year-old girl and her sister on more than one occasion during the September.

The charges against Storrs pertain only to the younger sister. The older sister was 16 at the time of the liaisons.

Sixteen is the age of consent in Nevada, said Assistant District Attorney Gerald Gardner.
