RENO (AP) " A judge says there is sufficient evidence for a Sparks construction worker to stand trial on charges of raping and killing a college woman and sexually assaulting two others near the University of Nevada, Reno.
After testimony over two days, Justice of the Peace Patricia Lynch on Thursday ordered James Biela, 27, to be bound over to district court.
A former Marine, Biela is charged with murder and sexual assault of 19-year-old Brianna Denison, who disappeared while sleeping on a friends couch Jan. 20. Her body was found Feb. 15 in a field in southeast Reno.
He's also charged with one count of kidnapping and two counts of sexual assault for two other attacks on women last year near the UNR campus.
