ELKO " Elko County sheriff's deputies say they've arrested a 10-year-old girl on suspicion of making a bomb threat that shut down her Spring Creek elementary school and led to the evacuation of nearby homes and businesses.
The fifth grader is accused of scrawling a threatening message on a bathroom countertop Friday. The school was closed for the day while a bomb squad and bomb-sniffing dog from Reno searched the school grounds. No devices were found.
Authorities say the girl was arrested Wednesday and placed in juvenile detention.
Besides criminal charges, officials say she could face suspension.
