Gene was born and raised in East Sacramento to parents Frank J. and Elizabeth T. Anderly. He leaves behind his loving daughter Elizabeth A. Anderly of Athens, Greece, son-in-law Dr. Dimitri Fragos and their three children Nicholas, Vasliki and Angelo, in addition to his former wife Zoe Moschonas Anderly, also of Athens, Greece. Gene will also be missed by his brother Ronald W. Anderly of Cameron Park, Calif. and by his good friends Pat and Serge Puchert of Carson City.
Gene attended Theodore Judah and Sacred Heart Grammar schools, Christian Brothers and Sacramento Senior High School. After serving in the United States Marines, Gene graduated from California State University Sacramento where he majored in Social Sciences in psychology. He also received a Doctorate Degree in Para Psychology from Bridgestone University, London. Gene enjoyed world travel, videography, acting in community theatre, serving as a docent at the U.S. Mint in Carson City and was very involved in community activities. Gene retired from the United States Army Defense Depot in Tracy, Calif. and in retirement enjoyed living along the beautiful Dayton Valley Golf and Country Club in Dayton.
Gene will be sorely missed by his family and his many friends. Funeral Mass will be 8 a.m., today at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Dayton. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sacramento, Calif. Arrangements are in the trusted care of Autumn Funerals & Cremations in Carson City.
