Born March 5, 1932 in Powers, Ore.

He was preceded in death by wife, Eleanor, 2006; son, Bill Jr. 1996. Raised in Oregon, graduated Coos River High in 1949. He worked on Coos River dairy ranches beginning from the age of 9 through 17 and then went into logging industry and running heavy equipment. He was on the Board of Directors for a Plywood Co-op and cruised timber in three western states and Alaska. Past Master of Oregon Grange, Sixes, Ore. Retired 1997 from State of Alaska School System, Homer, Alaska, and moved to Silver Springs.
Bill spent the last two years with daughter, Kathy in Carson City.
He is survived by daughter Kathy Krick-Martin and son-in-law Rick Martin of Carson City; daughters Sara (Christopher, Noah and Sofia) of Oroville, Calif., Tammy McLean (Kelly, Connor, Hailli, Elizabeth, and Samantha) of Roseburg, Ore., Heather Fletcher (Cliff, Kaylee, and Paris) of Dayton; Faith Elmore (James, Emily and Elijah) of San Antonio, Texas, Alex Campoy (Dante, Gabi, Danet and great-great-grandaughter Jamie Danielle) of Carson City; sons Troy Martin of Galveston, Texas, Steven (Krystalynn) Martin of Healdsburg, Calif.; daughter-in-law Linda Krick; sons Scott (Kim, Seth and Madison) Krick all of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and Sean ( Maya and Zellie) of Anchorage, Alaska; brothers Leon (Carolyn) Embre of Coquille, Ore. and James (Suzanne) Bennett of Corvallis, Ore.; sisters: Maddie Japp of Coaledo, Ore., and Velda Rider of Coos Bay, Ore. and numerous nieces, nephews, friends throughout Oregon, Alaska and Nevada.
A celebration of life will be 3 p.m., Saturday at the Carson City SDA Church,
405 E. College Parkway.
