A traffic stop in Storey County netted 15 pounds of marijuana and hashish, according to a news release Monday.
Storey Sheriff's Sgt. Jason Dias stopped a vehicle in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Park for a "minor traffic violation" on Friday night.
Gary Nehls, 42, of West Virginia, was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of his vehicle revealed the marijuana and hashish, packaged
in jars, and an undisclosed amount of money, said Lt. Gerald Antinoro.
Nehls was booked into the Storey County Jail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving under the influence.
The vehicle and cash could be subject to forfeiture to the county if Nehls is found guilty, said Antinoro.
The charges carry penalties of up to four year in prison and a $10,000 fine.
