Eleven Senators named to All-Sierra Nevada Media Football Team

OFFENSE

QB Tim Rudnick, Douglas: Rudnick threw for 2,550 yards and 23 touchdowns this year, breaking the school records for completions, yardage and touchdowns in a single season. He finished his career with 3,237 yards and 31 touchdowns, earning first-team All-Northern 4A and Sierra League Offensive Player of the Year honors.

QB Roberto Concha-Foley, Whittell: State 2A Offensive Player of the Year and Northern 2A MVP. He passed for 1,044 yards and 17 touchdowns and ran for 377 yards and nine scores. He returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns and made three interceptions as a free safety.

RB Johnny Pollack, Douglas: Pollack earned second-team All-Sierra League honors after running for 831 yards and five touchdowns in just six games before a groin injury ended his season.

RB Mark Sinnott, Carson: Second-team All-Sierra League pick. The junior speedster led the Senators with 615 yards and nine touchdowns.

WR Zach McFadden, Douglas: First-team All-Northern 4A honoree caught 50 passes for 963 yards and nine touchdowns this year. For his career, he had 82 catches for 1,214 yards and 13 touchdowns.

WR Ryan Roberts, Truckee: The senior playmaker was voted to the All-State and All-League first team at receiver. An athlete in every sense of the word, Roberts led the Wolverines in receptions and receiving yards. He was always a threat to score with the ball in his hands.

OL Parker Robertson, Douglas: The 6-3, 275-pound tackle was a first-team All-Northern 4A honoree and is drawing strong Division I recruiting interest. He anchored a strong Tiger running game this season.

OL Dylan Crosby, Truckee: The 220-pound senior lineman played a huge role on both sides of the ball for the Wolverines, often beating larger linemen with a combination of deft footwork, speed and strength. He was voted All-League Lineman of the Year and earned first team All-State honors.

OL Ernesto Cortez, Carson: The senior Cortez earned second-team All-Sierra League honors at offensive guard this season.

OL Ryan Moglich, Douglas: Moglich was strong on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball before his season was cut short with an ACL injury with four games remaining in the season. His play was impressive enough for area coaches to give him a first-team All-Sierra League mention and second-team All-Northern 4A mention at offensive guard.

OL Will Flores, Carson: Flores, a junior, earned second-team All-Sierra League honors for his play on the Senators' offensive line.

OL Travis Dwyer, Truckee: At 6 feet and 200 pounds, Dwyer played a lot larger than he was. He was a key piece of an offensive line that cleared gaping holes for a proficient running game, and he was just as important in plugging holes on the defensive line. He was voted to the All-State and All-League first teams as a lineman.

TE Tannar Wood, Dayton: Wood, 6-4, 200 pounds, was an All-Northern 3A honorable mention pick for his play this season. He caught 25 passes for 344 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 69 tackles and 3.5 sacks on defense as a linebacker.

P Justin Vosburgh, Truckee: The senior first-year quarterback guided the ship all the way to the 3A state championship. His athleticism was priceless in many ways, and he was rewarded accordingly at the end of the season. In All-League voting, Vosburgh was named to the first team as a punter and the second team at quarterback. He made the All-State second team as a punter and earned honorable mention recognition at quarterback.

DEFENSE

DL Garrett Tenney, Douglas: The 6-2, 190-pound junior was named the Sierra League Lineman of the Year and earned first-team All-Northern 4A honors for his play at defensive end. He had three sacks on the year.

DL Miguel Ovies, Fernley: Ovies was the Northern 3A Defensive Player of the Year and a 3A All-State defensive lineman.

DL Robbie O'Dell, Douglas: The 6-0, 275-pound tackle was among the league leaders in tackles. He earned first-team All-Sierra League and second-team All-Northern 4A honors for his play.

DL James Laughlin, North Tahoe: The senior stud dominated the offensive and defensive line for the Lakers. His play did not go unnoticed, as coaches voted the 6-foot-4, 290-pound Laughlin Northern 2A All-League and 2A All-State Lineman of the Year. Athletic and strong with quick feet, look for Laughlin to continue to the next level.

DL Justin Barlow, Carson: Second-team All-Northern 4A, First-team All-Sierra League pick. A junior, Barlow was a two-way starter for the Senators.

DL Garrett Tinlin, South Tahoe: Tinlin was one of the state's leaders in sacks with 14 on the season.

LB Ryan Macken, Truckee: The three-year varsity starter and returning All-State linebacker was voted All-League and All-State Defensive Player of the Year. The senior finished the regular season with a 3A-leading 115 tackles in eight games, and also contributed to an efficient offense with solid running and blocking from his fullback position.

LB Jeff Butler, Carson: Second-team All-Northern 4A pick and first-team All-Sierra League honoree. From his spot in the middle, the senior was the captain of the Senators defense and was one of eight seniors whom Carson coach Blair Roman credited for laying the foundation to developing the attitude he wants in the program in the future.

LB Garrett Adams, Fallon: The Senior outside linebacker was a first-team All-Sierra League and second-team All-Northern 4A honoree. He had 66 tackles, three sacks and a blocked punt.

LB Jason Peters, Coleville: Peters made a living on both sides of the ball for the Wolves, throwing for 3,477 yards and 59 touchdowns, both of which were 8-man football school records. He already owned the school's career passing marks entering the year. He was also a standout for the Wolves' defensive at linebacker and was named the Northern 1A MVP for his play.

DB Trent DeBraga, Fallon: DeBraga had 33 catches for 585 yards and carried the ball 33 times for 150 yards but was named the Sierra League's Defensive Player of the Year for his efforts at defensive back, where he had 124 tackles. He was also a first-team all-league and second-team all-region pick at wide receiver.

DB Chris Klug, South Tahoe: At 6-0, 175 pounds, Klug was a threat on both sides of the ball. He was a first-team all-league and second-team all-region pick at defensive back and also a second-team all-league at wide receiver. He had 81 solo tackles and 65 assists.

DB Tanner Thomas, Douglas: Thomas earned his second-consecutive all-region honor and was widely considered to be one of the best cover corners in the region this season. He had four interceptions and was often matched against the opponents' top receiving targets.

K Ean Witter, Carson: The junior was a first-team all-league and second-team all-region honoree at kicker. Witter, also a wide receiver for the Senators, pulled in 22 passes for 240 yards and one TD.

RS C.J. Ackerman, Truckee: The 3A learned the hard way not to kick in Ackerman's direction. Shifty with breakaway speed, the senior was a legitimate threat to score from anywhere on the field. He was voted to the All-State and All-League first team at safety and the All-State second team as a return specialist.

Honorable mention: TE Blake Davidson, Carson: The 6-foot-3, 185-pound senior also started as a defensive end for the Senators. He caught 22 passes for 282 yards and one TD. Jake Madden, Carson: the senior running back gained 441 yards and three TDS; Robby Barlow, DB, Carson; David Laumea, OL, Carson; Steven Fowzer, DB, Carson: the senior wide receiver added a team-high 24 receptions for 282 yards and four TDs as a two-way starter; Nikolai Vasquez, K, Douglas; Nico Barker, DB, Douglas; Brad Gonzales, DB, Douglas; Davey Fisher, DB, Douglas; Garrett Tinlin, South Tahoe; Will Ervin, QB, South Tahoe; Andy Fisk, RB, Fallon; Bryan Keathley, OL, Fernley; Brad Deaton, OL, Fernley; Bryce Baker, OL, Fernley; Mike Kendricks, RB, Fernley; Stephen Abrams, WR, Fernley; Robert Raber, RB, Truckee; Flynn Rice, TE, Truckee; Kevin Decker, OL/DL, Truckee; Cory Sharp, DB, Truckee; Phil Gielow, Whittell; Rio Delucia, Whittell; Logan Cohen, LB, Incline.
