Two Carson City men received a total of $2,500 in rewards Tuesday for calling Secret Witness with tips that lead authorities to make arrests in a fast-food stabbing and an armed robbery.
Carson City Sheriff's Lt. Bob White said Wednesday that $1,000 in cash was given to one man who gave investigators information that led to the arrests of Christopher Piche, 18, and Irvin Garcia, 18, in the St. Patrick's Day stabbing of an employee at Jack in The Box.
In July, both Piche and Garcia were sentenced to four to 12 years in prison in the assault.
White said that $1,500 cash was given to a man who offered information that led to the arrest of Stephan Beach, 22, in the September armed robbery of the 7 Eleven at Airport Road and Highway 50 East. Beach pleaded guilty to robbery and will be sentenced Jan. 20.
