Kallie Mae Johnson passed away Dec. 19, 2008 in Jefferson City, Mo. She was 69 years old.
Kallie was born Sept. 10, 1939 in Oil Trough, Ark. to Jyllie and Nora Livingston.
She worked as an accountant and owned Bookkeeping Services in Carson City for 15 years, providing financial services for small businesses.
Kallie is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving as an airman during the Korean Conflict.
She moved to Carson City in 1989 from Whittier, Calif.
Kallie enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Johnson who passed away March 2005 and a sister, Lyda L. Shelley.
Kallie will be dearly missed by her sons, William "Bill" Bernard and his wife Wannetta of Carson City, and Bruce W. Bernard of Colorado; two daughters, Barbara Ann Sproul and her husband, Richard of Bonnets Mill, Mo. and Doris Katrina Turvey of Clovis, N.M.; two step-sons, Dennis Johnson and his wife, Kelli of Bishop, Calif. and Darrell Johnson of Hawaiian Gardens, Calif., and one step-daughter, Deborah Johnson of Bella Vista, Ark.; also two sisters, Dain Walton and Paula Durham, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
A Memorial Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
