Ginger Leigh Blount, 46, in the prime of her life, was taken by a massive stroke. Her body lives on in many donor recipients and her spirit forever within us and those she touched.

She is survived by her two sons, Colin and Forest Middleton, brother Gene VanSickle, sister Brenda Dahlquist, parents Judi Martin and Ray Blount, niece and nephew, grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was living in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Ginger's sons were her pride and joy. She loved animals and nature and had many talents with both. Her laugh was contagious and her energy and quest for life was abundant. She was magnetic with animals all through her life showing horses, raising goats and dogs and taking in any other animal that needed a home. Ginger was very artistic especially with her trademark cartoon horse "Fred" and friends. She always saw the humor and beauty in animals, nature and life.

A celebration of Ginger's life will be 2 p.m., Saturday at the Elks Lodge, Carson City. All family and friends are welcome.
