Carson JV girls beat Douglas, win tourney consolation game
The Senators, now 10-3, scored a 55-33 win over the Tigers Tuesday at Damonte Ranch High School to win the consolation game of the State Farm Holiday Classic.
Carson's Tiana McAllister had a team-high 14 points and six rebounds was selected to the all-tournament team.
The Senators took a one point lead into halftime. Carson, with its strong man-to-man defense, slowly built a 42-39 lead by the end of the third quarter.
Lisa Yamamoto scored 11 points and added seven rebounds for the Senators, who also got eight points and three steal from Kate Schulz.
Lindsay Burroughs, Natalie Morrow, Kendra Krupp, and Jazmyn Stokes finished with four points apiece.
Dayton boys lose in Bishop
Rio Hondo Prep (Calif.) took a 48-39 win over the Dust Devils Wednesday in Bishop, Calif.
Dakota Lee scored eight points and was named to the all-tournament team, while teammates Connor Conroy and Marty Espinoza added nine and four points, respectively.
Dayton, now 7-7, hosts Yerington Wednesday at 7 :30 p.m.
