Linda Ritter is resigning from her position as city manager of Carson City.
In a letter to the board of supervisors, she said she will leave the position based on agreement with the city and will not be at the board meeting Feb. 7 where supervisors will vote on whether to accept her resignation.
"Like our employees, my focus is, and always will be the
betterment of the City that I am proud to call my home," she says in the letter. "I look forward to 'phasing out' of local government work and having the opportunity to enjoy
more time with my family as well as becoming more involved with my
community."
