Training for court advocates begins today
CASA of Carson City begins training for CASA volunteers 6-9 p.m. today at the Juvenile Court Building, 1545 E. 5th St. Anyone is welcome to attend the first session to learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer. Gallery to host artist's reception
CCAI's Courthouse Gallery presents "Waves: Line and Rhythm," an exhibition of prints and drawings by Northern Nevada artist Galen Brown, opening Thursday. First Presbyterian Church

Pizza Fridays for Lent at Corpus Christi Catholic Church
Corpus Christi Catholic Church hosts Pizza Fridays for Lent 5:30-6:45 p.m. every Friday during Lent, with a presentation of the Stations of the Cross after dinner. They may be the only Catholic Church in the area with its own, professional pizza oven and a gourmet pizza chef for a priest, Father James J. Setelik, Jr. Free pizza for ages 5-younger, $4 for ages 6-12 and $7 for ages 13-older. Profits go to the Corpus Christi Building Fund and their new building project on Sunridge Drive.
