Auto accessory shop serving Fernley

Today's new trucks are loaded with options, but where can one go to buy accessories for a new rig?

Superior Truck & Auto Accessories in Fernley can solve that problem with running boards, grills or something even more elaborate.

Allan Hills and Loren Stenger, owners of Superior Truck & Auto Accessories in Fernley, have both been in the truck accessory business for several years in Sparks. Both are Fernley residents who felt that with the substantial growth Fernley has seen recently, truck and car owners wanted more than what came off the sales lot.

The store, located at 400 Highway 95A, Suite 202, opened on Nov. 12.

"I've been in this business for 18 years," Hills remarked. "After commuting every day I saw how many people were coming to Sparks to get work done. I figured, why not open a shop out here?"

Stenger moved from California two years ago.

"I used to do the same there and then I got a job at a shop he (Hills) worked at and I moved out here. Since we both lived out here we decided to open a shop out here," he said.

The shop can install nearly anything related to automobiles.

"We do anything from struts, grill bars, lift kits ... anything that is a bolt-on accessory to a truck. We also do custom graphics for the sides of the vehicles and we do tinting," Hills said.

Besides providing accessories for trucks, SUVs and cars, he said the shop is getting into boating and marine work, too.

"The way I like to think is we are a mini-Summit, like Summit Racing, so our prices are very competitive to them and anybody in town," said Hills.

Besides Stenger and Hills working full-time at the shop, they have a part-time salesman on the weekends.
