Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 41-year-old mason from South Lake Tahoe was arrested at 4:14 p.m. Saturday at Costco on suspicion of misdemeanor petty larceny. He allegedly tried to steal a bag of Doves chocolate. Bail was set at $337.


• Zachary Koch, 22, an alignment technician, was arrested at 1:05 p.m. in the 3000 block of North Roop Street on suspicion of felony desertion. Koch enlisted in the U.S. Army as an infantryman in September 2007. He is reported to have deserted his Georgia unit on Dec. 29. No bail was set.


• A 65-year-old Incline Village man was arrested at 4:35 a.m. at Clearview Drive and South Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor impeding traffic and drunken driving. According to the arrest report, the man was asleep in the driving lane; when police woke him he said he had a couple of beers at a Mound House brothel.


• An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 2:38 a.m. Saturday on the 400 block of Louise Drive on suspicion of being a minor consuming alcohol. Bail was set at $237.


Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:


• Arrest on Highway 95 Alternate at 3:06 a.m. in Silver Springs.


• Arrest in Mark Twain at 4:02 a.m.


• Arrest on Pueblo Street in Silver Springs at 6:28 a.m.


• A Stagecoach woman reported her 15-year-old lost her temper and hit mom's boyfriend in the mouth at 12:09 p.m.


• Burglary report on Calcite Drive in Mound House at 12:52 p.m.


• A homeowner returned from being out of town and found her Concord Circle front door kicked in at 4:24 p.m. in Fernley.


• Misdemeanor arrest on Desert Shadows Lane in Fernley at 11:31 p.m.
