Volunteers assist health department to vaccinate nearly 300
The Carson City Health Department would like to thank the numerous volunteers who helped with the flu clinic at Carson City Middle School on Feb. 15.
They responded to the community's concern and, as a result, we were able to vaccinate almost 300 children and their parents against seasonal influenza.
Besides the individual volunteers, we would like to thank the Carson City School District, the Carson City Fire Department and Sheriff's Office, Carson Tahoe Hospital, MedDirect, the Nevada Public Health Foundation, Nevada State Health Division, Douglas County School District and Western Nevada College for their participation.
We live in a caring community with a can-do attitude and the combined efforts of all made it a successful clinic.
Sincerely,
Vicky Fogelman, director
Carson City Health and Human
Services Dept.
