Assistant Attorney General Randal Munn is leaving the office to take a job with the City of Reno.

He said he will be a deputy in the city attorney's office working four days a week.

"It's time for me to go a little slower," said Munn, 53. "I'll go skiing a few more times than I have in the last several years. It's really good for me and the family."

Munn is the top deputy reporting directly to Catherine Cortez Masto, helping her manage what has become a staff of 350 lawyers, assistants, investigators and other professionals. He started in 1993 as a deputy attorney general.

Munn leaves the office at the end of this week. He said he plans to take some time off before starting his new job in Reno.
