A man seen stealing a sub-shop worker's wallet on video surveillance is being sought by police.
Detective Daniel Gonzales said video shows the man on Feb. 17 "casing" the nook where employees of Subway on Highway 50 East would take a break.
The nook is near the soda dispenser and after filling his cup for a second time and then looking around to see if anyone was watching, the man quickly stepped into the room. He is seen reaching into something off-screen. He then comes back into full view, pulls his shirt up and shove's something down his pants.
Gonzales said an employee at the sandwich shop reported her wallet, containing $21 and all of her identification, was missing. The theft was discovered when the surveillance tape was reviewed.
All of the man's movements are clearly caught on the store's four cameras, Gonzales said.
The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, older than 30, with a medium to heavy build. He has black hair, brown eyes and a fairly wide mustache.
Anyone with information on who this man is asked to call 887-2020, ext. 1400.
