The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• Michael Howard Menke, 26, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 12:31 a.m. Tuesday at Fifth and Curry streets on suspicion of misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence, two counts of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, felony possession of forged instruments and one count of forgery. Bail was set at $10,896.


• A 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 12:59 a.m. on Highway 50 East on suspicion of two counts of misdemeanor second-offense domestic battery. Bail was set at $6,264.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:


• Fight report in the 300 block of North Carson Street at 12:58 a.m.


• Fight report on Long Street at 2:05 a.m.


• Accidents at Sage Street and Hot Springs Road, East Fifth and Stewart streets, and on Winnie Lane and Ash Canyon in which a vehicle struck a deer.


• Coroner call on Koontz Lane at 8:10 a.m.


• Vehicle injury reports on Menlo Drive, Minnesota Street, and La Loma Drive.


• A maroon 1990 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a black hood and Nevada license plate 362UTE was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Continental Drive at 1:23 p.m.


Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:


• A report of tires slashed on a vehicle on Chari Drive in Mound House at 4:10 a.m.


• A man reported his garage was burglarized and a motor stolen from Tahoe Avenue in Stagecoach at 8:09 a.m.


• Windows were reportedly broken on a vehicle in the 300 block of Emigrant Way at 2:05 p.m. in Fernley.


• A report of guns, jewelry and money stolen from a home on Amber Street in Silver Springs at 4:33 p.m.


Nevada Highway Patrol


The following are the some of the calls the NHP responded to in the Northern Command between 1 p.m. on New Year's Eve day until 5 a.m. New Year's Day:


• Fourteen drunken driving arrests. Two arrests on Monday, the other 12 were from midnight-5 a.m. Tuesday. One of the DUI arrests was a female driver who was passed out in her vehicle that was stopped in the travel lane on SR 445, Pyramid Highway at Golden View. Another DUI arrest involved a male driver who was also charged with child endangerment; a gross misdemeanor. His 1- and 3-year-old children were also in the vehicle.


• Three of the DUI arrests were in Carson; the remainder were in the Reno-Sparks area.


• No DUI arrests were made in the outlying areas of Northern Command.


• Five misdemeanor warrant arrests were also made.


• Twenty-five other misdemeanor arrests were also noted.


• Troopers investigated 18 accidents. Thirteen were property damage only, four involved minor injuries, one was a hit-and-run property damage accident.
