Name: Jorgee Radtke

Position: Owner

Her business: She sells indigenous art and antiques from places such as Africa and South America. She also carries items from local artists.

When it opened: May 2006

How she got interested in the business: She had friends in high school that visited Africa and she said she was fascinated with their stories about people so down-to-earth and in touch with their land.

How she gets her African items: She takes three-week trips to Africa each year and buys items and establishes contacts.

What she likes most about the art: How artists choose what to carve, paint or draw and the process involved in that. "It really lies within themselves and how they're feeling," she said.
