Gerville "Ginger" Crist passed away on December 31, 2007 in Carson City. She was born September 14, 1914, in Hermansville, Michigan to Henry and Minnie Arsenault Raiche, of Quebec, Canada.
She met Lester Crist in Detroit, Michigan, while working in a defense plant during WWII. They married in 1945, and moved to the Los Angeles area, where she was a resident of Westchester, Calif. for 53 years, and a member of Visitation parish. Lester preceded her in death in 1967. Ginger most enjoyed her time spent with family and being "Nana" to her grandchildren. She was an accomplished seamstress, loved big-band era music, and was an excellent ballroom dancer.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Haueter of Carson City, her son and daughter-in-law, Kerry and Marsha Crist of Diamond Springs, Calif., her son-in-law, Carl Haueter of So. Lake Tahoe, Calif. her sister, Geneva Comer of Loudon, Tenn., her grandsons Erik and Charles Haueter, her granddaughters Courtney McGilbery and Lisa Bertolini and six great-grandchildren.
Private inurnment will be held at Lone Mountain Cemetery. Walton's Chapel of the Valley has been entrusted with final arrangements.
