Sam Archuleta, 76, of Carson City, passed away December 31, 2007 in Carson City. He was born April 17, 1931, in Hernandez, New Mexico and moved to San Pablo, Calif. where he lived for 50 years before moving to Carson City in 1988. Sam was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and he loved motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three brothers, and a granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth whom he married on December 28, 1950. 4 sons: Jacob of Sacramento, Calif., Jessie of Reno, Harold and wife Jeraldine of Carson City, and Rocky of Green Valley, Calif. six daughters: Sandy (David) Garcia of Minden, Berniece (Leroy) Hernandez of Carson City, Bernita (David) Amador of Carson City, Ofelia (Romolo) Lopez of Montrose, Colo., Regina (Augustine) Rodriguez of Vallejo, Calif., Renee Archuleta of Richmond, Calif. two brothers: Juan Archuleta of San Juan Pueblo, N.M., and Ambrose Archuleta of Espanola, N.M. six sisters: Molly Martinez of NM, Tina Maestas, Fabiola Quinata of NM, Bessie Archuleta of N.M., Teresa Archuleta of Ky., and Inez Archuleta of N.M.; 32 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 7th, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Rosary services will be Sunday, January 6, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Burial will follow at the Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
