The Carson City Planning Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. to look at a 120-day moratorium on special permits for signs.
The meeting is in the Cooperative Extension conference room #12, 2621 Northgate Lane.
The commission and planning staff want to develop standards for signs along the freeway.
The board of supervisors upheld a decision by the commission Thursday not to allow North Carson Crossing, the largest shopping center in the city, to build a 65-foot tall sign because of the affect it would have on residents.
The business is allowed to build a 45-foot tall sign, however.
