Searchers are focusing on public land west of Indian Hills in their hunt for a missing 62-year-old man named Dennis Kelly.
Members of the Douglas County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team and the Sheriff's Mounted Posse are looking for Kelly in the area between Indian Hills and Jacks Valley.
Kelly was reported missing by his wife, Carla, on Wednesday, who said she last saw him 10:30 a.m. Monday when he left his Indian Hills home to take a walk. She said her husband was despondent over personal issues, and she believes he may have taken a walk into the hills adjacent to the Indian Hills to have some personal time.
A subsequent check of the area and neighborhood by members of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office was unsuccessful.
Kelly is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds, medium size build, with gray hair, a long gray beard, and blue eyes. Kelly was reported to have been wearing olive-green pants and a green flannel shirt at the time of his disappearance. His wife described him as an outdoorsman in good health, however he suffers from depression.
Anyone who may have seen Kelly, or has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Investigation Division at 782-9905 or 782-9080.
No foul play is suspected at this time.
