Gerre G. Key, 52, a Carson City resident for the past 12 years, passed away January 22, 2008 at her home. She was born April 22, 1955 in Sanduski, Ohio.

Gerre was a member of the Baptist Church. She devoted over 20 years of her life to music and was a 1985 Emmy Award Nominee for Best Musical Video. She was the lead guitarist for the band "Tough Love" and traveled the world. This was the first all female band to tour China and they also graced the cover of PM Magazine. She later was the lead guitar in the SHEROCK Band.

Survivors include her husband, John of Carson City; son, Rocky Severino; 2 stepsons, Bob (Adrian) Key and John (Sara) Key; 2 brothers, Kenneth Gage and Brian Edinger; 2 sisters, Terre Beach and Kim (John) Freeman; 5 grandchildren; and a niece, Melissa Eascio.

Funeral services are Wednesday, January 30 at 11 a.m. at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. Burial will follow in Silver Springs Cemetery.
