Otis Hicks

Otis Hicks, a resident of Carson City, Nevada went to be with his Lord on Jan. 28, 2008.

Before moving to Carson City Otis lived in Delhi, Calif. Otis was born to James and Ariadna Hicks on March 7, 1915, in Cincinnati, Ark. He was the youngest child and only son. He had three older sisters.

He married Dorothy Crossland on June 5, 1934 in Fayetteville, Ark. They spent 72 years and 9 months together before her passing on March 28,2007. Otis worked in numerous food processing plants as a supervisor for many years before retiring.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents and oldest sister Mabel.

Among his survivors are his son Otis Hicks Jr. (Ellen) of Carson City, daughter Cinda Wooldridge (Darrel) of Pea Ridge, Ark., daughter Betty Graves (Leslie) of Delhi, Calif. 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; two sisters Mrytle Weaver of Globe, Ariz. and Delores Westbrook of Anaheim, Calif. and numerous extended family members.

The family would like to thank Saint Mary's Hospice staff for all the kindness shown in our time of need. Special thanks go out to Deborah Chase and Dan Drinan. We would also like to thank Dr. Richard Yamamoto for all he has done.
