Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- A 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 5:31 p.m. Monday on West College Parkway on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear. Bail was set at $3,000.
- A 20-year-old certified nursing assistant from Carson City was arrested at 10:07 a.m. Monday on College Parkway on two Carson City warrants for suspicion of contempt of court. Bail was set at $1,439.
- A 45-year-old disabled Carson City woman was arrested at 12:47 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road on suspicion of criminal contempt. Bail was set at $387.
- A 35-year-old mechanic from Sparks was arrested at 3:27 p.m. Monday in the 3200 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor driving on a license revoked for DUI, driving without insurance, driving with an expired vehicle registration and obstructed windshield. Bail was set at $2,167.
- A 22-year-old store clerk from Carson City was arrested at 11:30 p.m. on College Parkway on suspicion of misdemeanor battery. He allegedly punched in the face a 14-year-old boy standing on the street after he thought the child was yelling at him. The boy suffered a bump near his left eye and a loose tooth.
- A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 1:52 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of South Curry Street on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to stop at a stop sign and drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,239.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:
- Report from the school district that someone left a message on the voice mail stating there was going to be a murder.
- Between 20 and 30 cartons of Marlboro cigarettes were stolen from the Country Store in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East after someone entered through the bathroom window overnight.
- Coroner call at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center at 11:43 a.m.
- Report of a stolen wallet from a casino at 6:28 p.m.
- Coroner call at Northern Nevada Correctional Center at 8:04 p.m.
