Fleet Reserve to meet Saturday


Sierra Tahoe Branch 137 of the Fleet Reserve Association will host a joint installation ceremony, 11 a.m., Saturday at Veterans Hall, 2nd and Curry streets. New officers will be installed for FRA Branch 192, Fallon; FRA Branch 274, Reno; and FRA Branch 137, Minden. Lunch will be catered by Mom and Pop's Diner. Cost of lunch is $17 per person. CASA community awareness workshop Thursday


CASA of Carson City will host a community awareness workshop, 6-7 p.m., Thursday at the Carson City Juvenile Court Building, 1545 E. 5th St. Volunteers are appointed by Carson City's Juvenile. Court to advocate for children in child welfare cases. There is a background check and a 10 week, one night per week, training. This one hour workshop is open to the public.
