The new Home Depot, 3185 Market St., will have a its opening ceremony at 6 p.m. June 25. The store will also present $1,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada and $1,000 to Ron Wood Family Resource Center.


The store will open for business as usual at 6 a.m. June 26. The new store will feature The Home Depot's latest floor plan, with newly re-designed departments including kitchen and bath showrooms and an expanded lighting department only found in newer stores, a special home décor section, color solutions center, installation services, professional contractor desk, tool rental and a large outdoor garden center.




City National Bank announced that it has provided Austin's House in the Minden/Gardnerville area with a $2,000 donation to help children in crisis throughout Douglas County. The bank last year established a new partnership with Austin's House with an initial donation and human resources support.




Work is nearly complete on another huge water storage tank at Tahoe Reno Industrial Center. The new tank will service companies that purchased property along newly paved Peru Drive from L. Lance Gilman Commercial Real Estate Services, the exclusive broker for the 104,000-acre industrial complex eight miles east of Sparks on I-80.
