James "Jim" G. Dodson, 85, passed away June 12, 2008 in Carson City. James was born Sept. 4, 1922 in Hope, Ark. to Sidney and Loretta Dodson.
Jim was an accountant. He operated his own accounting business while living in Alameda Calif., retiring in 1996.
Following his retirement, Jim moved to Dayton. He thoroughly enjoyed living in the northern Nevada area. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and horses. He was a sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 27 years. Jim was a decorated World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter Deborah T. Cooper and her husband Gerald of Foster City, Calif.; grandchildren Amy Hublou and her husband Scott of Redwood City, Calif. and Case Lower of Santa Barbara, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Emerson and Jake Hublou.
A Graveside Service will be 11 a.m., Monday at Dayton Cemetery in Dayton.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley has been entrusted with his arrangements.
