Daughters of Norway to meet


The Daughters of Norway Queen Maud Lodge No. 42 will meet in Carson City at 6 p.m. today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church located at the corner of Saliman and Highway 50 East. The program this month will be a musical one by Eileen Bianchi. Women are invited to join the lodge that are Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Finnish. For information, call 790-5060.




Push America at Children's Museum


Push America will make its annual stop at The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada from 1-3 p.m. Friday. The Fraternity of Pi Kappa Phi will present a puppet show on stage that will teach children about others with disabilities. After the slideshow a demonstration about bicycle safety and the bicycles the fraternity uses to travel across the country. Connected Church holds garage sale


The Connected Church will hold a multi-family garage sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 921 Armstrong Lane, off of Baker Drive in Carson City. Proceeds will benefit the third annual women's retreat. For information, call 887-1177.


Karson Kruzers seek volunteers for judging


Karson Kruzers are looking for volunteers to judge the Run What Cha Brung car show June 28, at Fuji Park. Judges may not be registered in the show. Judges will receive a free T-shirt and dinner. There will be a mini-workshop before the judging begins. For information, call 883-0927.

Tour Sutro June 28


AT&T sponsors a tour of the town of Sutro, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, June 28, to benefit the Historic Fourth Ward School. Peter Leonard will guide the hike around the remaining structures, tunnel and mining artifacts of this historic town.

Ballet student showcase in Reno


More than 100 children, teens and adults ages 3 to 40 will perform during Ballet Nevada's annual Student Showcase, "Inspired," 7 p.m., Friday and 2 p.m., Saturday at the Damonte Ranch High School Theater, 10500 Rio Wrangler Parkway. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 11 years old and younger in advance.
