A power outage struck Silver Springs at around 4 p.m. Wednesday, affecting about 1,050 customers, according to Karl Walquist of Sierra Pacific Power Co.
Walquist said a line that caused the outage was inspected and no visible problems were found, so a Sierra Pacific employee closed the line and restored power at about 5:15 p.m.
He said the cause is still unknown, but wind was suspected.
