St. Patty's Day is coming and it's time to head for the hills, the Virginia City Hills, for the annual Mountain Oyster Fry. Extraordinary chefs from all over will be competing against each other to be the best of the best in the parking lot of the Bucket of Blood. Come judge for yourself who makes the tastiest Mountain Oysters and enjoy the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, with leprechauns and more staring at noon.

On Sunday take the children to the Children's Museum for some St. Patrick's Day arts and crafts. Not only will the children enjoy fun arts and crafts but they will also be able to enjoy the Irish dancing from the Blanchette School of Dance. Irish music and dancing at it best, a wee bit o' fun for the kiddos.

The Knights of Columbus, Sierras Madre are devoted to making their feast and celebration in honor of St. Patrick include the best corned beef and cabbage you may ever taste. The festivities also feature a live, silent auction and a huge selection of raffle items that include golf packages, dinner and show packages, fishing equipment, art work, even a slot machine donated by Slot World.

Isaac Holt is a senior at Carson High School and, like his classmates, has to complete a senior project to graduate. Isaac is organizing a golf tournament fundraiser at Thunder Canyon Golf course. He is trying to get the word out to all the golfers who would like to help this young man make his senior project a success. Remember all the proceeds go back to the Carson High School golf team, of which Isaac is a team member. So please give this amazing young man a call and get the clubs out for a great cause, especially when you get to golf at Thunder Canyon for so little.
