No. 2 Nevada held on to a 64-57 win against No. 7 Fresno State in the opening round of the Western Athletic Conference tournament in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Wolf Pack improve to 21-10 on the year.
Nevada will face the winner of the Idaho/New Mexico State game which is being played later tonight. The teams will play Friday at 7:30 p.m. No. 3 New Mexico State is the host team of the tournament. Nevada is 2-0 against both teams this season.
Boise State beat Hawaii and Utah State beat San Jose State in earlier today in tournament play.
