A 41-year-old Virginia City resident was arrested Wednesday after a raid on his I Street home turned up drugs.
According to Storey County Sheriff's Sgt. Ken Quirk, Timothy McCarthy, 41, was suspected of sales of controlled substances from his residence.
Detectives obtained a search warrant and searched the residence with the assistance of two narcotic detection dogs from the Sparks Police Department.
The search turned up small quantities of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia.
McCarthy was arrested on suspicion of one count each of felony possession of methamphetamine, and being under the influence of controlled substances, and one count each of misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Bail as set at $6,000.
Quirk said McCarthy resides with his elderly parents who were not targets of the investigation.
