Happy St. Paddy's Day!If you want to hit some beautiful rolling greens at Thunder Canyon Course, Isaac Holt needs golfers for his upcoming golf tournament fundraiser.

What is nice about this fundraiser is not only is it his senior project but all the proceeds go back to the Carson High School golf team. (I heard they call Isaac "Sir Newton").

Give this amazing young man a call and get the clubs out for a great cause. The price is very affordable.

I truly love when community members and child advocates contact me and remind me to get on the ball. Cookie Kidder is that one person I can count on for the kick I need.

Prom is right around the corner and Cookie's wondering where should she take the several prom dresses her three girls want to donate. They want those beautiful dresses to go to other young ladies to enjoy a special night at the prom.

If you would like to donate shoes, nylons, jewelry, make-up, gift certificates for hair and nails - whatever you think would help girls enjoy the prom - here is the information.

Each year, I try very hard to solicit volunteers for the 4-H Western Nevada Region Camp. Why? Because the camp held each year in South Lake Tahoe is an amazing learning experience for children, youth and adults alike.

The youth counselors and adults who donate their personal time to make it a lasting experience should be congratulated.

No experience is necessary to volunteer, background checks are mandatory and the staff from the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension provides training, leadership and development programs so you will know what is expected.

If you would like more information on this, come to the meeting today or call the numbers below.
