Former NASA engineer admits to accessing child pornography

SAN JOSE " A former NASA engineer remains in custody after pleading guilty to accessing child pornography while he worked.

Federal prosecutors say Christopher Wiltsee was remanded into custody after pleading guilty Wednesday to a single felony charge of possessing child pornography on a government computer.

Prosecutors say Wiltsee admitted to using his computer to download child pornography from the Internet while he worked as an engineer at the NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field.

The 57-year-old Wiltsee no longer works for the agency.

Wiltsee is facing up to 10 years in prison when he's sentenced on June 4.
