Bob Crowell was the first to file for city office today when the elections department opened at 8 a.m.

Crowell, an attorney and school board member, is one of four men who have said they will run for mayor, but he is the first to officially file for the office.

The seats of two supervisors and three school board members are also up for election this year.

The primary election is Aug. 12 and the general election is Nov. 4. All city seats are nonpartisan.

The elections department, a division of the clerk-recorder's office, is posting candidates who have filed on their Web site. The direct link to the section is www.carson-city.nv.us/Index.aspx?page=1981.
