Sean Lehmann, a 35-year-old podiatrist, has filed to run for mayor of Carson City.
Lehmann has said the city needs a change from "the good old boys" and has criticized spending on projects including the V&T Railway and downtown redevelopment.
Candidates can file now through May 16 at the elections department of the clerk-recorder's office.
Seats for the mayor, two supervisors and three school board members are up this year.
Election and candidate information is available at the election department's Web site: http://www.carson-city.nv.us/Index.aspx?page=90.
