Virgil O. Stidham, a resident of Minden since 1978, passed away May 7, 2008. He was born November 7, 1922 in Carson, Iowa.
He was a veteran of World War II. He worked for the Carson Mall as Chief Maintenance Coordinator for 17 years. He loved gardening and bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Stidham; his sons, Kerry Stidham of San Diego and Curtis and Nancy Stidham of Redondo Beach; daughter Karen Chandler of Carson City; granddaughters Michon Chandler of Carson City, Bryna Chandler of Chicago, Ill. Lindsey and Ashley Stidham of San Diego, and Erin Stidham of San Pedro, Calif.; grandson Jeremy Stidham of San Pedro and four great- grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. There will be an open house wake at daughter Karen Chandler's home 1-4 p.m., Saturday.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
