Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 20-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 2:15 p.m. in the 2700 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor and minor consuming. Bail was set at $879.


• Emery Avery, 75 of Madera, Calif., was arrested at 7:44 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of felony theft. Avery allegedly stole a wallet from a casino patron. Avery claimed he found the wallet in his motel room. When police recovered it, all but $225 in cash was missing, according to the arrest report. Bail was set at $15,000


• Cody Allen Whiterock, 24 of Carson City, was arrested at 11:19 p.m. in the 200 block of Harbin Street on suspicion of felony home invasion and misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $28,132.


• An 18-year-old equipment operator from Carson City was arrested at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $5,000.


• James Ashe, 35, a deli clerk from Carson City, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.


• A 47-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of East Musser Street on a warrant for misdemeanor contempt of court. The man was released after the warrant was recalled.


• A 20-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 4:43 p.m. in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.


• A 54-year-old chef from Carson City was arrested at 12:23 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and violation of bail conditions. Bail was set at $4,132.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:


• Coroner call in the 1600 block of Medical Parkway at 2:15 a.m.


• Report of a student at Eagle Valley Middle School going into a teacher's room and taking $60. Two students were arrested.


• Vehicle burglary report at 9:53 a.m. in the 4100 block of Spring Drive.


• Possession of marijuana report at Carson High School at 11:40 a.m.


• Report of a fraudulent traveler's check passed at a grocery store at 12:47 p.m.


• Rollover traffic accident at College Parkway and East Nye Lane at 3:54 p.m.


• Report of a cell phone and IPOD stolen from Eagle Valley Middle School at 4:48 p.m.


• Residential burglary report on West Tenth Street at 4:49 p.m.


• Vehicle burglary report at 6:19 p.m. in the 3900 block of Quinn Drive.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:


• Misdemeanor arrest on Highway 50 East in Mound House at 12:34 a.m.


• Arrest in the 200 block of Poppy Hills in Fernley at 2:58 a.m.


• A Dayton mother reported one boy pulled out a knife on another boy on the school bus.


• Report of a child with bruises at Fernley Intermediate School at 12:49 p.m.


• Misdemeanor arrest on Fifth Street in Silver Springs at 5:26 p.m.


• Misdemeanor arrest on Highway 95 Alternate in Silver Springs at 12:10 a.m.
