Fire authorities will hold a meeting tonight to discuss a wildfire prevention strategy along in the Carson Range in Carson City, Douglas County and Washoe County.
The meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the main conference room of the Nevada State Library, 100 N. Stewart St.
The plan to reduce the risk of fire in a 223,000-acre area was developed by a range of federal, state and regional groups including the Carson City Fire Department, the Nevada Division of Forestry and the U.S. Forest Service.
