SPARKS " Sparks police have arrested three teens they say are part of a larger group of students at Reed High School who have been burglarizing homes and vandalizing property in the area with graffiti.

A local resident saw the three male 17-year-olds knocking on doors around noon on Thursday in an area a half-mile from the school north of Prater and east of Sparks Boulevard. A short time later, they were seen attempting to pry a window open.

Police captured one suspect and eventually found the two others as well as a 17-year-old girl they believe was acting as a getaway driver.

Detectives believe the four are members of a group at Reed High that calls themselves MRK, or Midnite Recking Krew.

They say the group of about 20 members routinely participates in tagging and committing home burglaries.
