On behalf of the board of directors and staff of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada I would like to express sincere appreciation to the two dozen vendors, and 75 volunteers who worked the recent Kids Auction and Worlds Greatest BBQ. Also thanks to the 213 individuals and businesses that donated items for purchase.

Bodine's Casino, for the second year, was a major sponsor and we would not have been able to make the amount that we did if not for their support, what a great community neighbor they are.

Clark Russell, along with his daughter Jennifer Russell Fitzpatrick, with their tireless and out of this world generosity really makes this the premier event that this has become. There is no way we could thank them enough for what they have contributed to the Club and the youth that we are able to impact. Their staff from the Carson Station and Station Grille donates their time, and attendee's tips, to make this event possible. All in attendance can attest that the food and service are outstanding.

In this very difficult economic climate that we are experiencing, we were able to net $235,000 from this one day event. That is just incredible. Thanks to the 850 people who purchased tickets to attend and support the Club. All involved in this event should know that more than 1,700 members of the club in Carson City are able to attend the Club and receive assistance with their homework, learn computer skills, create unique art work, improve their athletic skills either in tennis or a multitude of other sports, participate in life skills classes, perform community service, gain employment skills and take classes in prevention only due to the overall generosity of the community. I am humbled by the amount of support that we receive; this is truly an amazing and caring community that we reside in.

Sincerely,

Hal Hansen
