Jeanne H. Fletcher, 85, a resident of Carson City for the last 39 years passed away Oct. 1, 2008 at her home.
She was born Aug. 8, 1923 to Severan Osterhus and Beda Olsen in Madison, Minn. Her early life was spent in Wisconsin and Minnesota and graduated from high school in Janesville, Wisconsin. Jeanne was married July 31, 1943 to Charles L. Fletcher in Arizona. During World War II she worked as a riveter in Airplane Manufacturing. She loved to knit, sew and devoted her life to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, and a brother.
Survivors include daughters Judith A. Waller of Carson City and Leslie (Glenn) Pugh of Las Vegas.; sisters Elaine Dewey of Reno and Barbara Osterhus of Columbus of Columbus, Ohio; one grandson and three great grandsons.
Viewing will be 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Graveside services will be1 p.m., today at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
