LeRoy and Doris recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Doris E. Tarter and LeRoy G. Tarter, Minden residents for the past 22 years, recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.
Doris and LeRoy were married Oct. 10, 1953 at the Little Brown Church in North Hollywood, Calif.
They have two sons; John Norman Tarter of Minden, and Ralph S. Tarter of Hanford, Calif., three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
LeRoy is a retired research machinist for Lockheed in Palo Alto, Calif.; Doris is a homemaker and retired from credit and collection at Forest Lawn in Glendale, Calif.
The couple celebrated with a dinner at Adele's Restaurant in Carson City, hosted by their son and daughter in-law, John and Kimberly.
