LAS VEGAS " An investigator says authorities are looking for a "person of interest" in the nationwide search for a 6-year-old boy kidnapped from a Las Vegas home by men posing as police officers.
Las Vegas police Capt. Vincent Cannito wouldn't say Friday who police are looking for, or whether investigators think he's in southern Nevada or somewhere else.
Meanwhile, a nationwide Amber Alert remains in effect for the boy, Cole Puffinburger.
Cannito says Puffinburger's family was involved in the illegal drug trade.
He says the two Hispanic men who tied up the boy's mother and her boyfriend at their house Wednesday morning and abducted the boy were after "significant money and drugs."
Police aren't saying whether a ransom demand has been made.
