Jesse E. Kellogg, 44, a Dayton resident and owner of Carson Valley Concrete Inc., died Oct. 19, 2008 in Carson City after a short illness.
Jesse was born Aug. 1, 1964 in Hastings, Neb. to Harold Kellogg and Carol Gerrish.
He grew up in Colorado and Rock Springs, Wyo. before making Nevada his home. He loved the desert with all the history and beauty it offered. He was a proud man who worked hard everyday to be a loving provider, honest friend, and a strong role model for so many people.
Among his survivors are his wife Tammie Thompson and his son Justin Thompson of Dayton; father Harold Kellogg of La Barge, Wyo.; mother Carol Kellogg of Billings, Mo.; sisters Cathy Wiest of North Carolina, Mary Kellogg of Arizona and Karen Kellogg of Wyoming; brother, Michael Kellogg of Wyoming and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation took place at Walton's Sierra Crematory and Jesse will be buried in Cody, Wyoming.
There will be a gathering of family and friends 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 at Tammie and Jesse's home in Dayton.
