Ron was born in Reno on September 6, 1944 and died September 4, 2008 in Palo Alto, Calif. at Stanford Medical Center.
His life's profession was in flooring as a contractor. His interests were swimming, water skiing and gymnastics as a young man. He attained a black belt in jujitsu. He was also a classical pianist. His greatest interest, however, was maintaining a strong love for his family.
He is survived by wife, Sharon Domenici Vietti; son Jon Vietti; daughter-in-law Michele Vietti; son Bill Richards; three grandchildren Dominique Vietti, Abriana Vietti and Tessa
Richards; sister Shirley Vietti; brother Ray Vietti and numerous other relatives.
A Rosary will be 6:30 p.m., Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley followed by visitation until 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be 11 a.m., at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 5335 Snyder Avenue, Carson City.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley has been entrusted with his final arrangements.
