Silver Mitey Mites roll to opening win
The Carson Silver Mitey Mite youth football team began its season in impressive fashion with a 26-0 win in Fallon against the Green Wave on Saturday.
The Silver offense scored on its first drive and never looked back. The offense led by the blocking of Tyler Christy, Daniel Beard, Austin Baker, Garrett Clampitt, Ryan Kattenhorn, Willard Franklin, and Jakob Weaver paved the way for Carson's ball carriers who had close to 400 yards of rushing on the night.
The ball carrying duties were shared by quarterback Trenton Robison, Abel Carter, Andrew Trejo, Dennis Krueger, Donald Hurst, and Richard Romero. Trejo and Krueger accounted for all of Carson's points. The Silver team also had help offensively from Andrew Honien, Zach Frewert, Gabriel Catalani, and Stuart McElhany.
The stingy Carson defense did not allow Fallon one first down, and kept it pinned behind the 50 yard line all night. Hurst and Trejo each had a interception, and Krueger helped lead the defense. Also helping the defensive attack were Robison, Romero, Beard, Christy, Carter, McElhany, Dylan Wemheuer, Khayman Garland, Dylan Mayo, Joseph O' Neil, Noah Doddridge, Cody Main, and Joshua Buchan.
Carson Silver travels to Sparks tonight to take on the Sparks Saints.
